So this is my current dream outfit with that print. I was really trying to play up the classical elements in the print instead of the sweet ones, the rich red, the vertical stripes, the elegant theme of the print. Do you think this style works okay with this kind of print? Or do you think it just looks like a Classic Lolita stole a Sweet Lolita's dress? I have been very intrigued lately with the idea of forcing other styles onto prints that seem like they are specifically made for a completely different style. Trying to turn cute Kuro dresses into something Gothic, and turning Sweet prints Classic are my current favorite things to try.
I probably won't get this print any time soon! As it seems impossible to find as a JSK or OP, especially in the color I want, at the moment. And even if I did find it, I don't know if I could spend that much on it! Maybe one day though this beauty will make it's way into my closet.
The other blogs that also featured their dream prints are Savage Lilly, La Vida Frills, and The Weekend Lolita. Actually, I just discovered that these dream coordinates are part of a contest hosted by La Vida Frills that I didn't even know I was participating in until just now XD So what is your current dream outfit? Is it something simple that you already love to wear? Or is it a rare print that you've been pining away for for years?

Beautiful! I love Rose Toilette so much, I own the skirt in pink and it's one of my favourite pieces.
ReplyDeleteI have this print, and I also like to play up the classic parts of it when I wear it (or at least hime). I like to wear it with retro pumps and a cancan hat. ^_^ I like everything about yours, except perhaps the shoes. I think they're a little too moddish. I think a plain neutral bootie would be better.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI really like the way you've styled it, I have always liked the print but thought it was overly sweet for me but you've shown how it can look more classic. I really love those shoes and the bag is really pretty xoxo
ReplyDeleteWow, that is one HELL of an outfit! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI think you've made a lovely coord.
The funny thing is that lately the Rose Toilette JSK in red really appeals to me too!
I really think the coord leans towards classic. Personally, I'd prefer one of IW's bordeaux/deep red blouses instead of the white, mostly because I really like seeing not-white blouses in outfits.
ReplyDeleteMy dream outfit of the moment? I'd really like to wear my VR JSK again, since its the perfect time of year for it, but its just so fancy that its hard for me to pull it on just to bum around the house XD
I think it's a beautiful coord! Personally, I'd probably wear a different bag and hat, but I do think that they fit the outfit :D And I absolutely love the birdcage necklace and the stappy boots, hehe, and how you spiced up the red and offwhite with a few pink highlights :3
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea of coordinating a print with a style that isn't the obvious choice for the given print. It makes the whole thing so much more interesting :)
I love that coord! I've come to love classic loli, and I too have a secret obsession with one of AP's prints (Melty Choc--I think that's the name?--especially in the new pink mint and chocolate colorway) so it's very interesting to see how a print like that could work in a classic coordinate. I love the idea of using a sweet print in a classic coord etc.
ReplyDeleteVery gorgeous! If I could pull off lolita, I would wear that in a heart beat!

ReplyDeleteYour post inspired me to make my own too! =D I'm really bad at finding jewelry I have in mind though. =/

ReplyDeleteThanks for giving these useful information in your blog Fairfax Traffic Lawyer. I never really have a static Lolita wish list. But, currently, I've been really obsessed with Angelic Pretty's Rose Toilette print, especially in red! It is really good and interesting. Keep sharing more useful blogs!!!
